I have no idea if this is allowed or the place to ask for auditions so if not, feel free to delete.
I am looking for a woman of color to narrate one of my superhero series. They must be available for royalty share on ACX. If you’re interested in further details, please DM me. Thanks!!!
EDIT: The project will go up this week I just wanted to get a head start on finding narrators.
外围体育投注Hi, so I did an audition, and the author got back to me asking: ‘Could you let me know what your typical price PFH would be on a Royalty Share Plus programme? I have to keep my budget in mind amongst other things, so it’d be handy to know this in advance’
Can someone advise me on how to approach this?
Data on the book itself:
3,912,532 in Books (See Top 100 in Books) 70,426 in Horror (Books) 334,494 in Teen & Young Adult (Books)
Just curious because I haven't been able to find a ton about this on the ACX YouTube channel or elsewhere. A few specific questions I had:
Do you read/prep the book on a tablet, the same computer you record on, or print it out?
外围体育投注How many times (if any) do you read through the book before recording? Once? With or without annotations? One initial read pass, then an annotation pass? Just wing it? Assuming you read ahead of time, do you do that out loud or in your head?
外围体育投注Do you prep each section (with annotations if any) the same day you record it, or do you prep the whole book ahead of time, then just focus on narration when recording?
If you annotate the manuscript, what kinds of things do you mark down? Do you highlight each different character? Just the major ones, only major/supporting, or every single外围体育投注 character including small one-offs? What other notes do you take? Emotion of the scene? Underlining words to emphasize?
外围体育投注If you annotate on a tablet or computer, what device and software do you like to use?
Just trying to figure out what my own process would be. Thanks so much!
Hey there, so I took my first stab at audiobook narration. My recordings spanned a few days, and unfortunately some of the background noise in some of the clips is a bit distracting, phasing in and out. Unfortunately I also did not save an original clip of the recording, so I can't seem to revert the effects in Audacity. I applied noise reduction, compressor, limiter, and normalizer. I tried fiddling with the noise reduction, but couldn't seem to get rid of it. I'm not sure if one of the other effects may have exacerbated the background noise.
外围体育投注Would appreciate any feedback if any users have experienced similar difficulties, or if any of you may know which effect caused or could fix this issue.
