I did my first low HR (below 150bpm - 28yo) run yesterday. It was surprisingly very pleasant however its slower than even when I did a couple of 'easy' ultras when I really kept the speed down and aimed to just finish them.

I dont want to be doing JUST low HR runs because I really enjoy the variety of difference run types.

外围体育投注Will I see a speed increase with the inclusion of a couple of low HR runs a week and how long does it take to see results? Any tips?

After a couple of solid time-trials earlier in the summer: 5K and half marathon, I had promised myself I would take it easy for the rest of the summer, which including not structured training, running when I wanted to, etc. Which opened up the opportunity to try something I have always wanted to do: a beer mile.

外围体育投注On Running just announced a new training group based out of Boulder. Ritz as the coach and first announced athlete Joe Klecker. Some pretty serious talent on both ends. They seem to talk a big game about Joe’s fitness too. Can’t wait to see what happens.

Let’s Run has a good article here:

外围体育投注I’ve run in one pairs of Ons and really liked them actually (Cloudflow), plus their apparel is great.

Most of all though I’m excited to see investment in the sport, particularly right now with so much uncertainty.

外围体育投注I’m sure reddit is sick of questions about transitioning to zero drop shoes. But everyone is different and I need personal opinions.

I bought a pair of Altra Escalantes because they were on sale and I’d heard a lot about zero drop. I like the shoes! But of course I had pains that were out of the ordinary. I’ve read about a transition period so to aid that I bought another pair to wear at work.

At my work I am on my feet 100% of the day, walking around 5-7 miles a day. I’ve been running 1/2 Escalante 1/2 Saucony Ride 25-30 miles a week for 4 weeks now.

外围体育投注Y’all.... I still got knee pains and ankle pains. At what point did you say, “zero drop shoes are not for me”? And do you think my wearing them at work is helpful in transitioning or should I ONLY wear zero drop on runs?

A new covid restriction in Victoria, Australia means that you are only allowed to leave your house to excercise for 60 minutes per day, once per day. While I think this would be hard to get called out on, I can't really avoid the fine if I was caught.

外围体育投注My plan was to build towards 100km/week for the first time on 6 days running per week. How effective would a 12km easy run 7 days per week be in comparison? With some tempo runs mixed in.

Will accumulated fatigue from not taking days off provide any benefits to offset the lack of a long run and less overall mileage?

Hello guys. I’m a recently graduated high school runner with prs of 9:59 -3200 16:42 -5k and 4:48-1600.

外围体育投注I want to run club in college but I have chosen a tough degree program with not much free time. I think I’ll be able to get 35 mpw at the most. I have set my eyes on the 10k and want to break 35. Is it possible with low mileage and if so can you suggest a training program?
