Hi, I applied at Ross and was "offered" a job, this was almost 2 months ago now. I have a friend that works there. I was told that all I need to do is the background check. But I keep showing up and calling, and somehow I'm not getting the background check email? Once when I showed up, the manager who hired me showed me some kind of app with applications, and mine wasn't in there (even though I clearly see it on the online application portal as being submitted). I was told by my friend, and a security guard there, this happened to them, too, and it took forever but eventually it showed up.
外围体育投注This just doesn't sound right, it kinda sounds like my boss-to-be hasn't done something on her end. Does anyone have advice how to get this thing moving? Seriously, it has been 7 weeks. Thanks in advance!
So I applied to work at a new store that's opening in my area as either the customer service supervisor or receiving supervisor. I've got a decade of experience in retail with most of my time spent in management wherever I worked. I'm not worried about the interview overall, as I'm confident in my history, work ethic, and interviewing skills, but I had a situation to kind of effect my availability very slightly and don't know exactly how to address it. I am a recovering addict who happens to be in drug court where I live because of a possession charge. I am fully compliant with my program, and my court counselor even volunteers to speak with anyone in recruiting if they have any questions. On my background it would show pending as they don't actually full on sentence you unless you don't complete the program. I'd be unavailable at most 5 hours throughout the week(1 hour here, another there, at most unavailable about 1.5 hours max at a time) because of meetings/IOP groups. How do I bring this up to hopefully not turn them off from considering me? I love working in retail, and especially working in new stores where you start fresh with everything and everyone.
Please help me with some suggestions on how to celebrate staff during COVID-19.
外围体育投注Normally we have a ceremony, dinner and door prizes etc but we aren't allowed to have a party.
I really want everyone to have fun because we are so stressed lately. Please give me some ideas!
外围体育投注I don't think a zoom call would work because no one would do it. We see each other pretty much everyday.
I was thinking about an outdoor BBQ but it would be kind of difficult because we aren't supposed to have communal food
So today was not the best of days. I was the only cashier for a bit and had a long line. I get stressed when I see a long line so I go on fast mode. So I was handling this Customer's food and ringing them up and all is good. Check, recheck I didn't miss any items. So far so good. And now its time for the customer to pay. He hands me $40 and his total was $22. So I was suppose to give him back $18 and instead I gave him$38. A $20 dollar bill extra by mistake. After a hour or so, my manager finds out and asks me what happened. I say truthfully I gave the guy too much back. And all the manager said is "oh okay"
外围体育投注My question is: has this ever happened to you? Did you get in trouble? Or even loosed your job because of this? Because now I'm utterly scared. Making a mistake at a retail store is so nerve racking....
I just really don't want to lose my job. I like it so much!
外围体育投注It looks like this hurricane isaias will affect my area and on the news forecast, it says it’ll be raining all morning until afternoon along with strong winds plus heavy rainfall. I work at a department store and I have a shift tomorrow at noon til 7 pm. I’m still new and I don’t know how they handle inclement weather.
