For starters it is disappointing that they skipped the whole journey. Secondly, as nice as it is to see Thorfinn getting married I really wanted it to be at least a chapter to get reactions from everybody. For such a big moment to get only a few pages, along with skipping the journey makes me feel that the author is starting to rush the series. This is a good chapter but I feel like it would've had much more impact if we saw everything before, such as seeing Thorfinn and Gudrid's relationship actually develop. You go from her confessing to immediately getting married and it feels a little off. Still seeing Thorfinn getting married felt surreal in comparison to how the series started. Also hats off to the translators for this
I agree with you. It felt rushed, like there was no exploration with regard to how Thorfinn's relationship with Gudrid actually developed. The sequence of confession straight to marriage felt a bit like an impersonal summary.
外围体育投注But I think the author just wants to go back to the key themes of the series. Oh well.
外围体育投注i feel like the author realize the anime is very popular and will prubeblly get more sesans. and he dosent want to have a case of GOT s8 on his hands so hes starting to rush to the end, so WIT will have more suorce to adapt..
外围体育投注Such tonal whiplash going between the manga and the anime lol. From a murderous edgelord and his soldiers of fortune comrades to a respectable young gentleman and his family.
Wish the pacing was a wee bit slower. We already had a time skip and we didn't even get to see Helga. Hoping to see more of Hild in the coming chapters, wonder if she has warmed up to the gang a bit. Hope we have a couple of side arcs as well detailing more of the time skip.
外围体育投注Wish the pacing was a wee bit slower.
And this after all this subs winning during the farm arc and in a series that comes out once a month, if this gets a wee slower most of us will die of old age before we reach the end!
外围体育投注I will never ever forget the importance of a translator again. Thanks for all your efforts!
外围体育投注Thorfinn is now rich as hell I guess after his trip to Constantinople. I seriously hope we get some flashbacks of the great city.
外围体育投注He has a beautiful family and a great fleet too! I'm glad he's in a much better place now.
外围体育投注This is overall a pretty wholesome chapter. Hild is still being Hild I see.
I must say that the time skip bothered me more than I thought it would at the end of chapter 165. Of course I wish I could have seen the Rus, Constantinople, etc but also the relation between Gudrid and Thorfinn evolving would have been nice to see. Especially since there relationship ended on some kind of "suspens" and after that some chapters where they didn't appeared at all and so it make me really impatient to see them again but at the end we still don't know much about them and even there mariage seemed a bit short to me.
I guess that if the author didn't have anything to say about that or don't think he can make a good story out of it maybe it's better to skip it than to have tens of relatively bad chapters...or not who knows. Maybe that's the worst, not knowing what we could have got.
But I still feel like even without taking in count the time skip this chapter was I bit rushed. The reunion, the wedding, etc felt really short to me especially since I was expecting all these stuff very much. It could be that after waiting all this time to finally be able to read the chapter in English I rushed it myself while reading tho.
as a Gudrid fan I have to say they really quenched my thirst, there was so much Gudrid in this chapter, I'm so h*cking happy.
外围体育投注As for the current pace of them manga I can't say it bothers me, it really doesn't, I guess I trust Yukimura too much? Idk.
