Hey everyone, I was just asking how you enjoy being an anesthesiologist? What can I do to better my chances of success? Do you enjoy your career? What’s the best and worst aspects of this career?

Thinking about purchasing some leaded glasses for protection for the many years to come, but I have never seen anesthesiology providers wearing them. Wondering if it's just my institution, and how many of you guys wear them in practice.

外围体育投注Edit: seems like extremely good idea to get them, hence follow up question - which ones do people recommend/like?

外围体育投注This was based on a work stress dream where I had to re-intubate a patient after reversing them.

Would you give sux? Wait longer? Give a higher dose? Do a remifentanil assisted intubation? Check for no twitches? Proceed as usual?

We do weekly covid swabs. Yesterday, a nurse tested positive and is asymptomatic.

外围体育投注Came in today and she’s doing a double. In a nursing home. Full of vulnerable patients. No PPE other than a mask. My works excuse is she’s asymptomatic and hers was she doesn’t want to stay home.

外围体育投注I’m reporting them to public health on Monday. But what the fuck is this bullshit?? This is one of the nicest nursing homes in the area, too.

外围体育投注Am I in the wrong for being pissed about this?? We’re still under the impression asymptomatic people can still spread the virus, right?
