I was really excited for this season going in, but I don't think I enjoyed it at all after the first five episodes. I mean:
外围体育投注Terrible lopsided editing
外围体育投注Bad casting choices making it far (Tarzan, Zach, Jacqui)
外围体育投注Terrible non-elimination twists
外围体育投注Predictable pagonging post-merge
Boring sporty people (Lydia, Zach and John) lasting longer than people like Shane/Jericho/Michelle
Moana being very hard to root for even though she was fun in season 3
外围体育投注Votes not being explained in detail (Michelle boot, Shonee/Zach non-elim, 4-3-2 Phoebe fire vote, John vote)
I still think this season has a lot of things that should have made it at least a middle-tier season. The Final 4 consisted of The Golden God, Aussie Amanda Kimmel, Russell Slayer, and arguably the greatest female challenge beast of all time. The Daisy blindside was incredible. But instead, what we got was a predictable boring season with terrible editing and bad twists. My ranking of the Aussie seasons would be:
Aus 2017 = 4/54 (40 US, 5 AUS, 7 SA, 2 NZ)
Aus 2019 = 18/54
外围体育投注Aus 2018 = 20/54
外围体育投注Aus 2016 = 29/54
Aus All-Stars = 37/54

10) Harry Hills
In season 4, he was in good spot on OG Contenders, then was swapscrewed into a bad place, had to rely on idols for a bit which is why he isn't higher, but his social game improved to the point where Janine and Pia wanted to get rid of Simon over him. At the merge, he managed to scrape his way to the final 3 without ever needing idols or immunities. He would've won against Baden and probably had a good shot against Pia too. In All-Stars, he was in a decent spot on OG Mokuta, then was swapped onto Vakama, made connections with Locky/Brooke/Flick/AK, to the point where Locky/Brooke/AK were willing to blindside Flick over him. Then he made it to the merge in a bad spot, but I still think he's a great player.
9) Phoebe Timmins
She was in an amazing spot on Aganoa, she and El were in the middle between Kat/Kristie and Lee/Rohan. She was swapscrewed onto Vavau, got Rohan to play the idol on her, but got screwed by Kat. She voted off Kat, which put her above Kristie. Then she got Craig/Kate to blindside Andrew, then got Kristie to lie to the majority for her, so she could play an idol on herself, then used Kristie's lie against her, and would've made it to the merge but got screwed by the kidnap twist. On All-Stars, she was in the majority alliance, and was the swing vote between both alliances because of her social game. Then, on Mokuta, she reunited with Lee and made an alliance with Nick. However, the reason isn't higher is because of her negative relationship with Moana, and her giving the idol clue to David, which was really dumb. Overall, definitely the best pre-merge player of all time.
8) Shonee Fairfax
Despite being physically weak, she was never really in danger on OG Contenders. On the swapped tribe, it was her social game tht made the majority keep her over Jackie and Tegan. Despite entering the merge in a 10-2 minority, she used her social game to keep herself over Robbie/Sam/Mat. The only time she voted incorrectly was the Benji vote, but even she knew she was in the minority as she played her extra vote. Then, she and Fenella got Monika/Brian to flip on Shane/Sharn, and Shonee made it to the Final 4. Her only mistakes were voting off Monika and voting for Shane at the F4, despite entering the merge in a 10-2 minority. Then in All-Stars, she was targeted early which is why she isn't higher, but on her swapped tribe, she made inroads with Locky/Brooke/AK/Flick, and her social game caused them to keep her over Flick. Then at the merge, she used her social game to flip Jacqui on Zach, then eventually got voted out by Sharn. Overall, an amazing social player, but her being targeted early and voted out early keeps her from being higher.
7) El Rowland
She and Phoebe were in the middle of Aganoa between Kristie/Kat and Lee/Rohan. Then she got swapscrewed onto Saanapu, but unlike Phoebe, she never needed idols. Despite only her and Lee being from Aganoa, if Saanapu got whittled down to 3 members, I think she would have survived with Brooke/Flick, as her social game kept her above Lee/Matt/Sam/Kylie/Nick/JL. Then at the merge, she had her trios with Kristie/Lee and Brooke/Flick. She controlled the votes without standing out as the leader, had an amazing social game, and made it all the way to F3, where she would have won against both Kristie and Lee. The only reason she isn't higher is because she almost went home at F7, and her connection with Kristie wasn't strong enough to get her to F2. Still one of the best social players of all time. Her game reminds me of Tommy, as she had complete control and never needed immunities or idols.
6) Pia Miranda
She has a great understanding of the game, using Janine as a meatshield. She perfected her strategy excellently, using her social bonds to not stand out as a threat, but still be able to control votes. She was part of David being blindsided with an idol, and her strategy was the reason Simon and Janine were voted out before her. She is an amazing talker, convincing Baden to take out Harry as a 'resume move', then destroyed him at FTC. She isn't higher because she was targeted early, and was left out of some blindsides, and needed an advantage to be saved at F5. Still a very cerebral player who played a very good game.
5) Luke Toki
外围体育投注He had lots of control in Season 2, was friends with everybody, and had one of the best social games ever. At the merge, he managed to flip Henry and Locky, then blindside Henry with an idol in his pocket. However, his 3-2-2-2 vote on Tessa was a bad move for him, but that speaks worse on his strategic game than his social game. But his social game meant Sarah got blamed for the move instead of him. However, he was voted out at F7 for being too big of a threat. His game in season 4 was much better though. He was swapscrewed, and despite being a returnee, he didn't need to play an idol because his social game was that good. He managed to have control until the merge, where he was blindsided at the F10. His game goes a bit downhill as he relies on immunities to get the F4, but his blindside on Abbey was amazing. The fact that Pia felt so bad about voting out the biggest threat shows how great his social game was. He isn't amazing at controlling his threat level though, so he isn't higher.
4) Jericho Malabonga
I think Jericho played a great game in Season 2. He used Luke, Sarah and Henry as shields, and got himself to the merge without ever being in danger. His persona as a likeable goofy guy meant he was never a threat, he got Henry to flip at the merge, voted him out with an idol, then made the terrible 3-2-2-2 move, but wasn't blamed for it because of his social game. He received his first vote at the F4, and got Tara to flip to him because of his connection with her. Then he won the fire challenge, took Peter out, and beat Tara at FTC. Then in Season 5, despite being in the minority, Moana was targeted over him despite him being a former winner. He was the glue between the minority five, and Phoebe/AK had to remind themselves he was a former winner because his social game was so good, but he got voted out because he had already won. His FTC was atrocious though, and he can be quite naive, which is why he isn't higher.
3) Sharn Coombes
外围体育投注She was in the majority on OG Champions, had a good relationship with Moana, then despite being swapscrewed, she and Lydia managed to flip Robbie and Benji. At the merge, despite Robbie/Benji/Lydia being blindsided, she was included on the vote because of her good social game. Her biggest mistake was playing her idol at F9, but she managed to get Benji out. Her move at the F6 was akin to Russell getting Tyson to switch his vote to Parvati. Then she flipped Shonee at the F5, got her to waste her vote at F4, then won immunity. She would've won against Brian, and was winning against Shane going into FTC, but her bad FTC cost her the game. In season 5, despite Shane/Jericho being the first two out, she managed to get herself to the FTC. However, her jury management was much worse, making unnecessary promises to Vakama, and telling Tarzan to vote out Moana. Overall, Sharn is absolutely amazing at getting to the end, but terrible at getting the jury to vote for her.
2) Brooke Jowett
外围体育投注Brooke completely dominated Season 1. Her social, strategic, and physical game was akin to Kim Spradlin. She and Flick were in the middle between Lee/El and Matt/Sam. She had complete control the entire game, everybody liked her, and her strategic game was so good. At F7, she was able to realize El was too big of a threat, so she and Flick decided to vote her out, but Flick flipped on her. This is the only knock against her, that she couldn't control her relationship with Flick. However, she most likely wins against everyone, except maybe El. In Season 5, she got herself in the majority on Vakama, found an idol, played it on David, which was a good move with the information she had. On her swapped tribe, she held the majority, managed to get Flick blindsided, then entered the merge down in numbers, but managed to win 4 immunities, getting herself to the Final 4. She would have won against everyone at the point except for David. One of the most well-rounded players, and I think she would dominate everytime she plays.
1) David Genat
外围体育投注One of the best players of all time. He was amazing in Season 4, being swapscrewed yet never needing to play an idol. However, he got blindsided for being too big of a threat. In Season 5, he was in the majority, made connections with the minority to blindside Daisy, which meant on Mokuta Moana targeted Phoebe over him. He used Zach as a goat, and made an alliance with Moana and Sharn. Then he got rid of Nick and Phoebe, the two connections to Vakama 2.0 so they couldn't expose him. At the merge, he pretended he was back with Vakama so he could blindside Locky, then dominated his way to the endgame because he got all his strongest competitors out. He found two idols and won three immunities. He played an idol on Tarzan to get his loyalty over Jacqui, then played his idol at 5, guaranteeing himself a spot at F4. He would have won against Moana and Sharn, and probably wins against Brooke in a close vote. He showed that a big threat can win Australian Survivor
I've found out that theres absolutely ZERO known locations on the internet for Au Survivor, so I tried finding some of the filming locations for season five. Now its very late, so its another project to check whether these beaches are the same as the 2018 & 2019 versions; however with a 99% confidence, I can tell you these locations from my findings using clips from the episodes. A lot of decoy clips were used during the transition shots, such as "Fiji Life at Wavi Island" which was speculated to be Jury - or even one of the camps due to its appearance in multiple episodes. However the actual locations found have been backed up with physical players present.
外围体育投注First, . This was the easiest to find, and proved a good place to start as it is assumed the filming location isn't far from here. Coordinates: -16.793516, 179.535328
外围体育投注Second we meet . This was used as the merge camp, not too far away from Jury Villa, you can see it across the bay (still quite far away). Coordinates: -16.806163, 179.566091
Lastly, for now, we meet . Fun fact, its really hard finding a boring looking beach. I found all the clues I could find, and present the goods. Coordinates: -16.766970, 179.625241
外围体育投注Well thats it from me for now. I hope that squashes some rumors, I personally find it really interesting that the two camps are connected by one of the main roads in Savusavu. I'm not done though, if anyone has any idea if this lines up with any locations with the other seasons filmed in Fiji (2018 and 2019) or if you can find the locations of the challenges using this rough area it would be awesome!
Just out here to recommend each and everyone of you to go and watch Australian Survivor while waiting for the US version to return. I promise you it’s so damn good. The producers and cast really did justice to the show and held their own. I binge watched all 5 seasons back to back and i just can’t get enough. The All Stars season’s winner is top notch. My only hope is that someday both the production gets together to do a US vs AU version sending their all stars. I swear it’ll be more epic than winners at war
