The LVMH IME in a few words

“The LVMH Institut des Métiers d’Excellence LVMH is an integral part of the social responsibility policy the Group has pursued for the past ten years. The program centers on recognizing the potential and promoting expertise and talent. The IME has clearly met the objectives set when the program was launched by developing the employability of young apprentices, regardless of their initial qualifications, while preserving and passing on the unique savoir-faire of our Maisons.  Today the IME is beginning a new chapter in its history by welcoming the first LVMH Group employees as part of continuing education courses.”

PROMOTE, PRESERVE AND PASS ON OUR UNIQUE SAVOIR-FAIRE

外围体育投注Unique in the luxury industry, the LVMH Institut des Métiers d’Excellence is a vocational training program with a work/study program designed with prestigious schools selected for the quality of their teaching and official recognition of the degrees their students earn.

外围体育投注In each training course students take both technical and theoretical courses at partner schools, combined with on-the-job experience at LVMH Maisons, working under paid apprenticeship contracts.

The IME courses also include foreign language training, meetings with artisans, experts and designers and tours of workshops or stores as part of Master Classes.

The IME promotes, transmits and valorizes savoir-faire unique to the luxury industry in craft métiers, as well as sales and creative professions. It enables recruitment and training of young people, including those without prior qualifications or who are seeking a new vocation, while remaining fully consistent with our demanding standards. The program offers some young people a second chance with a work/study format that enables tuition-free education that is practical and concrete, enabling them to earn vocational certificates or degrees. This training facilitates recruitment by the LVMH Group, its external partners or companies in the  different specialized professions involved.

PROMOTING EQUAL OPPORTUNITY

Within the scope of its policy supporting equal opportunity, LVMH pursues initiatives to promote the IME and its vocational training offer, in particular among young people, job seekers and citizens in underserved neighborhoods. This outreach effort helps recruit students for the upcoming school year.

Each year LVMH hosts the IME Village jobs fair in the  Paris suburb of Clichy-sous-Bois in order to engage with and attract talents among people who might not be aware of such opportunities or simply do not believe that they might qualify.

The 5th edition of the IME Village event is scheduled for Tuesday, February 4, 2020 from 1 pm to 5:30 pm at L’Espace 93 – Victor Hugo  – 3, place de l’Orangerie, 93390 Clichy-sous-Bois.

Through this initiative LVMH promotes a workforce at its Maisons with diverse backgrounds and cultures and fulfills a role as a responsible employer, while ensuring consistency with the Group’s high standards and selection objectives.
