Hm, do you need to update the sidebar separately on desktop, or perhaps on the old.atposition.com theme? For me the rules show as the following:

At any rate, your question is welcome here as long as it follows our four rules:

Rule 1: No posts asking how to harm yourself or others, no posts or comments telling others to harm themselves or others.

外围体育投注Rule 2: Directing hate speech at another user is explicitly not allowed.

Rule 3: no soapboxing, trolling or asking for karma

Rule 4: No telling others to google/search their question in a non-constructive way. Additionally, no question shaming such as "you're seriously too afraid to ask this?"

外围体育投注I updated it, how does that look now?

外围体育投注Yep, it's updated now.

Though, the readability of it could benefit from the bullet points and bolding linked in the comment above.

Vascular surgeons don’t do heart transplants; are you mixing up cardio-thoracic and vascular surgeons?

I looked him up and he officially listed himself as “Cardiovascular” so I’m not sure.

外围体育投注Definitely held fatty hearts he’d removed and given (gentle) pimping of heart valves and nomenclature with the donor hearts, so I can verify he performed heart transplants.

-1 points · 11 days ago

So he was a cardiothoracic surgeon, not a vascular surgeon. Two different fellowships you can do after general surgery, but completely different skills and surgeries they perform.

外围体育投注Yeah I see now that cardiothoracic and cardiovascular are synonymous.

I appreciate you pointing that out.

外围体育投注Folks the question is "Why do you support Trump?"

外围体育投注Don't support Trump? Great, post about it in the thousands of threads that get posted here daily. This user is actually trying to engage our conservative base and ask questions. As such, perceivable joke responses and nonsense answers have been removed.

外围体育投注Because he is being dishonest.

The fact that there were some users that have been constantly harassing me at the beginning on r/TooAfraidToAsk calling me or implying that I was a pedo. I was concerned about being falsely accused of being a pedo, so I sent a message about this in regards to this in modmail.

外围体育投注Example of a harassing comment:

Modmail message of initial report: http://atposition.com/message/messages/nisi07

The mod argued that the comment was not a concern since it didn't target me, but rather talks about in general. However, the original question was about why it is weird for adults to be interested in sports外围体育投注, so it makes no sense for an user to randomly point that you should be careful of pedos in the middle of nowhere. It makes no sense to tell a coworker randomly in the middle of a conversation talking about a NFL game that you should be careful of pedos. I know what the harasser (as he made several of these comments on my post) is trying to do. I once PMed him about this comment, and he did admit to the fact that he assumed I was a pedo and he was going to spread accusations against me. I am not okay with false accusations being spread against me.

Given the fact that the mods on r/TooAfraidToAsk ignored this issue, the problems in regards to harassment never went away. For the next couple of months in that sub, I was continued to be harassed by the same person and several users also began to spread false accusations towards me. One such user has his whole entire post history dedicated towards commenting on anything I post. I was fed up with this, so I reported them to the mods. Thankfully, the mod that replied was an excellent mod who quickly took action as the harasser broke the rules.

Screenshot: Modmail link: http://atposition.com/message/messages/p8a5xk

Eventually, I was banned from the sub because the mods assumed I was a pedo as I made several posts on subs like r/legaladvice and r/CasualConversation going around talking about how I was a pedo and I needed help. In hindsight, I regret doing that and acknowledge that was a stupid thing to do. However, at the time, I did it because I was sick and tired of being harassed by several years, and I just want to play along with the harassers with the goal of getting them to shut up. However, a mod on r/TooAfraidToAsk外围体育投注 banned me because he used my past posts that I ended up deleting (and I deleted them because I knew those posts were a mistake and don't want my past embarrassment hanging around) as evidence I was a real pedo and banned me from the sub.

One of the things that happened soon after was that a mod on r/TooAfraidToAsk PMed me directly and pointed out how he agreed with how the harassment against me was a problem. This conversation made me happy at it is the only time where a mod actually listened to my side of the story.

Link to PM conversation (I blacked out his username because he was a good mod and went against what the crowds have to say):

This mod also acknowledged that he couldn't get be unbanned as basically every other mod in the sub listen to the harassers instead of what I had to say.

Keep in mind that the mod who banned me also went around trying to harass me on Reddit by making this post: http://atposition.com/r/SubredditDrama/comments/ha9ri0/user_is_outted_as_a_pedophile_based_on_his_own/

He was taking the lie from the harasser and spreading it across Reddit.

That is the true story of what happened.

You weren’t permabanned over your pedophilic comments, regardless of whether or not they accurately represent you as an individual or not.

You were banned overall due to a constellation of harassing messages and ban evasion as well as using multiple accounts to send that harassment across mods, users and subs.

外围体育投注You are free to continue to feel like you were banned for your comments in other subs about how you are a pedophile, which you DID make, and I doubt anyone gives a shit about the fact that I documented it and shared it widely with other subs to warn them of you as a user.

Also “taking the lie from my harasser” THOSE ARE MY SCREENSHOTS. I TOOK THEM. My screen name is evident in many of those photos. There is no conspiracy, just your admission that you’re a pedophile and several posts to my sub about it.

外围体育投注I don’t give a rats ass if you are or aren’t a pedophile. Only a real dumbass would pretend to be one, my mod (whom I know who that is btw lol) couldn’t even defend you after because of how crystal clear your comments were and how stupid it really is to pretend to be a pedo. Of course you’re blacklisted now, what did you expect?

I’m not going to engage you any further because frankly, you’ve wasted an insane amount of my time running in circles. I’m only following up now because you messaged us this morning an attempt at being unbanned when you were banned less than two months ago.

I’ve compiled a list of your egregious actions and sent them additional to the subs you were modded at, you’ll notice you’re not a mod in them any longer. Your actions are extremely questionable and showcase a very problematic user profile. Perhaps you should spend some time reflecting on your actions rather than blaming others and return at a time in the future when you’ve actually changed your ways.

If you two spoke up I can only imagine the amount of mods that haven't. Especially when you consider that this user has multiple accounts and mods might not realize how big a troll they really are.

I moderate r/TooAfraidToAsk外围体育投注 and I’ve been getting the same.

外围体育投注I’ve been reporting this activity for months now and haven’t heard and seen any effect. He’s even sent stuff through alt accounts and via a subreddit to mask his name but it’s always the same message.

I've been meaning to find the answer to this question too and I found this great article.

As restaurants, grocery stores and other businesses around the country have posted signs near cash registers and on drive-thru windows requesting people to pay with credit cards or exact change, several widely shared Facebook posts have commented on the nation's recent coin shortage.

Some of the posts include a sign from a Texas-based grocery store chain H-E-B asking shoppers to use a debit card, credit card or correct change, if possible, due to the shortage.

The posts then warn against the potential of the U.S. becoming a "cashless society."

Focusing in solely on the claim that the nation is experiencing a nationwide coin shortage — that's true.

外围体育投注A national coin shortage has affected businesses, including self-service laundries that cannot get enough quarters. Banks are rationing their supplies too.

外围体育投注Why is the U.S. facing a coin shortage?

As the spreading coronavirus and resulting business closures crippled economic activity in the United States, the circulation of coins dropped off significantly. The U.S. Mint, which manufactures the nation's coin supply, also decreased staffing in response to the pandemic.

外围体育投注As the nation's businesses have reopened, demand for coins has exceeded the available supply.

Federal Reserve chairman Jerome Powell told the House Financial Services Committee on June 17 that the coin shortage has resulted from the partial closure of the economy.

外围体育投注“With the partial closure of the economy, the flow of funds through the economy has stopped,” he said. “We are working with the Mint and the Reserve Banks, and as the economy re-opens, we are starting to see money move around again.”

外围体育投注As a result of the shortage, signs like the one captured at H-E-B in the Facebook post have become a common sight for shoppers.

CNN Business reported that many businesses are encouraging payment with exact change or with cards, while others are allowing customers to put their spare change toward charity or putting the change on gift cards.

外围体育投注A statement sent to USA TODAY by H-E-B said the company is "testing several strategies to buy and conserve coins" so customers can pay using the method they want.

外围体育投注"The public can help improve coin circulation by taking coins to their local banks or Coinstar kiosks and when paying for cash, using exact change," the statement said. H-E-B is also letting customers donate coins at the cash register to Texas food banks and other local nonprofits.

Some businesses and experts have also recommended the use of contactless forms of payment due to concerns about whether cards and cash could spread the virus. While the CDC says that people could possibly catch the virus by touching surfaces with virus particles and then touching their mouth or nose, experts have said the main way the virus has been spreading is through respiratory droplets produced through actions like coughing, sneezing and talking.

Fact check:: What's true and what's false about face masks?

On June 23, several industry groups including the National Grocers Association and National Association of Convenience Stores sent a letter to Powell and Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin, asking them to replenish the available supply.

外围体育投注According to the letter, cash represents "more than one-third of all funds transacted in-person by U.S. consumers," and a higher number of transactions made by people with low incomes.

'U.S. Coin Task Force' established

外围体育投注Federal officials have continued to acknowledge the issue and say they're in the process of addressing the shortages in the nation's coin supply.

外围体育投注A June 11 news release from the Fed confirmed that coin deposits to the reserve had declined, and that the U.S. Mint had decreased coin production. The Federal Reserve, which supplies commercial banks with coins, announced it would begin allocating available coins to financial institutions based on their historical coin orders to manage its inventory.

The Mint also returned to full staffing and began working to "maximize coin production capacity."

"Although the Federal Reserve is confident that the coin inventory issues will resolve once the economy opens more broadly and the coin supply chain returns to normal circulation patterns, we recognize that these measures alone will not be enough to resolve near-term issues," the June 11 release said.

外围体育投注The coronavirus (COVID-19) is impacting the global economy and raising fears of a recession. What causes a recession and what are the signs?

The Fed, in a June 30 news release, further explained the issue, saying that as of April 2020, the U.S. Treasury estimated the total value of coins circulating was $47.8 billion, up $400 million from the same time last year, according to the release. The "slowed pace of circulation" of coins, not the number of coins in the economy, was the issue, according to the release.

外围体育投注The Fed on June 30 announced the creation of the U.S. Coin Task Force, a group tasked to address the "disruptions to normal coin circulation." Members of the task force were announced on July 10. The task force is expected to create an initial set of recommendations by the end of the month.

外围体育投注Our ruling: True

外围体育投注The claim that the U.S. is experiencing a coin shortage is TRUE. Facebook posts correctly state that the nation is in the midst of a coin shortage. Several retailers have posted signs asking customers to pay with cards or exact change for that reason. The shortage is a result of the economic slowdown caused by the coronavirus, which has affected the circulation of coins.

Bad faith question.

Subreddit Icon

Not sure if the recent ban wave is relevant but in the past week we’ve had several users contact us about their questions being removed for tripping our automod on this “relationship” between homosexuality and pedophilia. We have noticed an average of 3 a day for the past week.

I'm not here to lecture about consent, how kids cannot give proper consent, how homosexuality isn't a mental illness etc because I do believe it is possible to ask this question from a position of ignorance and not one of malevolence. Our position has always tried to be one of open-minded to questions that get asked here because of the very nature of our sub and the type of community we try to foster.

That being said, we do not believe that these posts lately are coming from a position of ignorance. With a careful look at our traffic stats, the start of these kinds of posts, post histories of accounts asking these questions, the context of recent subreddit ban waves and an internal discussion over the last few days, we have made the disappointing decision to enact penalties against users who parrot these types of talking points.

外围体育投注While TooAfraidToAsk prides itself on allowing users as much of a free Q&A experience as possible, we cannot allow this sub to be brigaded by bad faith questions, especially from users with post histories from recently banned subs.

We hope to relax these restrictions again in the future, at a time where users posting questions here can be a little more reliable with their reasoning for asking.

Thank you.
